A pioneer in clinical information systems, HHC recognizes and understands the vital role technology can play to boost system reliability, drive operational efficiency, and improve patient outcomes. The complexity of medicine and the knowledge base required to practice safely and effectively has grown beyond the capacity of the human mind and body to manage alone. HHC recognizes that we must utilize well designed and easy to use technology that will track and organize information and present it in a reliable and timely manner. This will allow clinicians to focus on high level tasks such as clinical reasoning and knowledge application, medical decision making, interacting with patients, and healing.

HHC's commitment to using state of the art technology to store patient records has been rewarded. In 2006, HHC won the Davies Award for Excellence in Health Information Management. The Davies Award is given annually by the Healthcare Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) to reward organizations who promote the best practices through the use of information systems and management to better patient health outcomes.

HHC is poised to move forward as a fully integrated, patient-centered, consistent, and safe system of care which provides complete information necessary to support physicians, nurses, and the entire care team.
