WHAT ARE OUR CRITICAL NEEDS?

The HHC Foundation of New York City (HHC Foundation) is committed to raising philanthropic funds through public/private partnerships to help the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) meet critical needs that fall outside the scope of the annual operating budget. Public/private partnerships help HHC stay ahead of the curve. While HHC has managed to improve effectiveness even in the face of diminishing resources and constantly seeks further efficiencies, we cannot expect to continue to achieve the best outcomes without additional resources. Likewise, the struggle to pioneer innovative programs and services is becoming increasingly challenging. HHC is poised to take the lead in helping New Yorkers continue to live longer, healthier lives. Our vision is of a healthy New York. We invite you to partner with us to help realize our goals.

HHC is the largest municipal hospital system in the nation providing comprehensive healthcare services to over 1.3 million New Yorkers each year, regardless of the ability to pay. Operating a network consisting of 11 acute care hospitals, six diagnostic and treatment centers, five long-term care facilities, over 100 community clinics, and a home healthcare agency; HHC serves as a model efficient, safe, effective, and patient-centered healthcare delivery system that patients need and deserve.

The HHC Foundation is focused on securing support for innovative city-wide evidence based programs that improve clinical outcomes. There are six priority areas for which the HHC Foundation is seeking funding. Each of these initiatives is designed to augment the vital healthcare services that HHC currently provides.
