The HHC Foundation’s Fourth Annual Breakfast Benefit brought the house to laughter and applause many times over on May 21, 2008 at Cipriani 42nd Street. $525,000 was raised to support the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), which provides quality healthcare to all New Yorkers regardless of the ability to pay. Special guests included Mariano Rivera of the NY Yankees, Bob Lee, WBLS Radio Personality and IMPACT Repertory Theatre performing their Academy Award nominated song, ‘Raise It Up’. The Harlem-based group of teenagers also sang and danced, “Keeping Your Brains Healthy” which highlighted one of the Foundation’s funded grants, the Hip Hop Stroke Program. Close to 500 leaders, from a cross-section of corporate supporters and individuals with a dedication to the health of New Yorkers, came out bright and early in support of the public hospitals and the day’s honorees: Brandon Steiner, Founder and Chairman of Steiner Sports Marketing, Doug E. Fresh, Hip Hop Icon and Record Producer, and Dr. Max Gomez, Medical Reporter for WCBS-TV.

The HHC Foundation's Third Annual Breakfast Benefit, held at Cipriani 42nd on Thursday, May 17th, was a rousing success with a record $600,000 raised for the City's public hospitals. 540 guests that included leaders from the civic, business and healthcare communities, came together to support the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC), which provides quality healthcare to all New Yorkers regardless of the ability to pay.

The HHC Foundation's Benefit Performance of Sarah Jones' A Right to Care Raises $200,000 in Support of the City Public Hospitals' Limited English Proficiency Program.

Nearly 400 guests attended The HHC Foundation's Fall fund raiser at the landmark Hudson Theatre where Tony Award winner Sarah Jones wowed the capacity crowd with her one-woman tour de force, "A Right to Care." The benefit performance raised nearly $200,000 in support of New York City Health and Hospital Corporation's Limited English Proficiency Program. Over 100 different languages are spoken at HHC everyday. LEP patients comprise 50% of the patients served, with HHC facilities serving a much higher number of LEP patients than any other hospital in the City.
Tuesday, May 16 at The Pierre
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Congressman Charles B. Rangel and over 500 business, civic, and health leaders joined HHC Foundation in honoring Robert Glickman, MD CEO, NYU Hospitals Center, Dean NYC School of Medicine/Affiliate partner/HHC Bellevue Hospital. The event was a success raising $575,000 to support New York City's public hospital programs.
